The London Hypnotherapy Academy diploma course was accredited by the National Council for Hypnotherapy (NCH) and the Association for Professional Hypnosis and Psychotherapy (APHP). We had a two-stage qualification process, which allowed our graduates the opportunity to launch their professional practice under supervision after the successful completion of all face-to-face classroom sessions, case studies, and question papers. They will then be awarded the LHA Diploma in Clinical Hypnosis and will be eligible to join the National Council for Hypnotherapy (NCH) as a registered member and the Association for Professional Hypnosis & Psychotherapy (APHP) as a licentiate member. Once they have done this, they will be able to set up their professional hypnotherapy practice.
All students were trained and prepared for the externally awarded NCH Hypnotherapist in Practice Diploma. This is jointly awarded by the NCfE and the NCH. We encouraged all students to complete this second stage of qualification, but it is optional. There was no formal written examination, but there was a portfolio of evidence that was completed at home and submitted electronically. Alternatively, students could achieve this qualification through the Professional Discussion (PD) route, which is conducted through two extended phone or Zoom assessments.

Undertaking Continual Professional Development is a commitment that professional therapists are expected to make in the years following their graduation. Many attend classroom training in order maintain and update their skills and knowledge. This helps them to continue to deliver effective and professional therapy to clients.
Lorraine is a certified supervisor for the NCH. She offers individual supervision for LHA graduates and qualified hypnotherapists who trained elsewhere.

"I really can't recommend this course highly enough. I had been toying with the idea of signing up for two years and my only regret is that I took so long to decide..."
